The Programming Manager will be responsible for developing & implementing competitive monthly programming strategies, based on research and knowledge of the market for Exquisite and other channels. They will also be required to choose relevant programming for the market viewers, specifically concentrating on core markets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Create competitive monthly schedules for VIMNA channels
Create promotional plans to effectively promote the schedule
Ensure programme scheduling across the VIMNA channels reflects the desired brand identity
Analyze the market and global trends in VIMNA channels, compare and keep up to date with competitor channels
Overall responsibility and accountability for planning and transmission of international and regional sponsorship deals
Cooperate with other departments to enlist their assistance in delivering the channel’s programming priorities
Cooperate with international, emerging markets and sales and marketing teams to create and implement new initiatives and ideas for potential sponsors
Supervise schedule compliance with local TV broadcast regulations
Supervise the Presentation / Graphics Schedulers
To develop and maintain efficient on air promotional strategies and plans
To oversee the scheduling of accurate transmission logs containing Production, Graphic, Sponsorship / On Air, Ad Sales and Music Programming information on a daily basis
Organise and implement even programming meeting all Presentation, Programming, Graphic and Sponsorship objectives
Train and update Presentation and Graphic Schedulers to cover scheduling and sponsorship responsibilities when absent
Meet daily deadlines sending TX schedules
Communicate and implement presentation holiday deadlines to various departments
Work closely with operations to ensure schedules are ATS compliant
Maintain database e.g. clocks and library
Update and send regular reports to Programming / Presentation Manager EM and Head of Programming EM
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualification:
Relevant Bachelors degree or diploma.
Language:
Excellent written and verbal command of English.
Experience:
Solid experience in Content development & Production Management. Good intuition about audience tastes. Exactitude and precision. Ability to manage and lead a team.
Industry:
Knowledge of television broadcasting (knowledge of TV broadcast regulations). Literacy in music and pop culture is critical for this role
