Job Description:
To ensure accuracy and efficiency in the management and delivery of raw materials and packaging, whilst maintaining the highest quality and housekeeping standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Stock and Warehouse management:
Recording of stock received
Picking and issuing of materials
Stock counts and cycle counts
Investigation and explanation of variances
Supplier packaging expense on deposit and timeous returns
Housekeeping and continuous improvement
Staff management, motivation and discipline
Logistics Management:
Maintaining raw material flow principles
Warehouse planning
Managing Inter-branch stock transfers
OTIF adherence
Budget control via annual CAPEX motivation and monthly operational expense management
STIX facilitation and participation
Legislative Compliance including Environmental and H&S Compliance
Knowledge:
Supply chain management
Computer proficiency in Excel at an intermediate to advanced level
Syspro knowledge an advantage
ISO 9001 compliance
Skills:
The ability to assess problems and offer solutions.
Attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy
Technical astuteness/know-how of the discipline
Customer service orientation with a sense of urgency
A proven track record of the effective management of subordinates
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric (Grade 12) - Minimum
SAPICS* Qualification (Advantageous)
Experience in a chemical environment (Preferable)
