Our client, an esteemed mortgage origination company based in Durban is searching for a skilled Learning and Development Practitioner to provide outcomes based learning and development initiatives that improves personal and business effectiveness.
Description
The purpose of this role is to deliver a professional and techinical learning experience to the business through effective supervision of facilitators and training service providers and the provision of effective logistical support. This to achieve the vision of creating a learning culture in each business unit of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sourcing details or service providers on learning and development interventions as defined from the learning and development framework to meet business needs
Brief service providers on the specific requirements of the programmes
Schedule staff to attend internal and external learning and development interventions
Co-ordinate in-house and external training
Prepare course material for all training activities
Communication to the business on course details
Management of delegates' responses for the relevant courses
Prepare training facilities
Organise travel, catering and accommodation requirements for service providers and or delegates
Co-ordinate and capture training registers and post course evaluations
Capture results of assessments and store information (Pre, during and post)
Communicate training arrangements to learners
Take ownership of the training calendar/plan for the year and assist in initiating these planned sessions
Manage all Induction programmes for the business
Maintain regular contact with learners to ensure that learning issues are addressed proactively, and learners are supported
Collect, capture and sort information arising from training needs analysis
Reconciliation of departments monthly budget to track spend
Co-ordinate and reconcile accounts relating to external training initiatives
Produce learning material using in house capacity or external service providers
Proper retention of all registers and related feedback forms
Ensuring that all records keeping is up to date and accurate
Analyse learning and development evaluations and drive amendments to programmes and changes to service providers
Compilation of BEE Training Spreadsheets
Assist in the maintenance of as well as input creatively to Learnerships, Flagship programmes, and all other development programmes
Support the L&D manager with all Talent Management initiatives
Ensure adherence to skills development legislation and all BEE requirements
Ensure adherence to SAHL procurement policy when sourcing service providers
Fulfill the Skills Development Facilitator function in entirety
Produce monthly reporting on learning and development interventions
Profile
Minimum Requirements
Matric
Diploma in OD-ETDP or Degree (BCom/ BA/ BSocSci or equivalent) with a major in Human Resources or Industrial and Organisational Psychology or Education focused
Valid Code EB driver's license
3-years relevant training and development and facilitation experience or general HR administration experience
Willing to do occasional business travel to branches
