Quality Assurance Controller with a min of 5 years QA experience within the concrete industry to be based in Rustenburg
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical support, standards, guidance and advise to customers and operations.
To oversee and ensure the smooth running of the quality control and quality assurance systems on a day to day basis.
Act as the interface and main point of contact between the client and the QC/QA functions.
To assist in ensuring a safe working environment identifying improvements in the operating and reporting procedures of the business.
Monitor and understand new developments in ready mix technology and materials, develop and optimize new mix designs as required.
Oversee the authorization of reports and client enquiries regarding technical issues and concerns.
Assist the Area Manager as necessary in resolving potential Contractor concerns or complaints.
Ensure all material tests are correctly conducted and supported by documentary evidence and that calibrated equipment is used.
Maintain compliance with Quality Assurance when dealing with regulatory bodies and identified non-compliances.
Maintaining QA records and testing standards.
Ensure that new or revised QA documentation is issued to staff.
Develop new procedures as required to comply with any new material test standards.
Monitor the sample and test result database for completeness and accuracy.
Top down management of all Technical aspects of the business.
Ensuring core Technical Competency is maintained while promoting operational excellence.
Providing continuous assessment and improved QA and QC systems and performance
Maintaining the Company’s premier position in Quality and Customer Satisfaction.
Introducing enhanced production targets and improve operational asset utilization
Advancing product development and research
Providing operational leadership to advance the Company’s Strategic Business initiatives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
N.Dip Civil Engineering
City and Guilds Concrete Technology
Ability to work independently.
Understanding of concrete batch plant operations
Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Computer literacy with Knowledge of MS Word & Excel and Microsoft Outlook
Previous experience in ready mix and a sound knowledge of cement.
Experience in concrete mix design and mix optimisation.
Ready Mix Product and Process and QA laboratory experience
Concrete fault investigations
Dealing with the professional team on various sites
Construction site experience
Package & Remuneration
Salary negotiable depending on experience
