Our client, an independent body, who is part of the The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, is looking for exceptional talent to fill the role of Executive POPI
Duties & Responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS
Matric certificate plus a postgraduate qualification in Law at NQF level 8 as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA.
Eight to ten (8-10) years’ experience at senior management
(5) years post admission experience as a legal practitioner with the right of appearance in the High Court. Experience in dispute resolution and conducting of investigations in a regulatory environment such as international or local human rights bodies or any other regulatory body.
Experience in compliance and monitoring in a regulatory environment such as international or local human rights bodies or any other regulatory body.
Driver license is required
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Ensure the provision of policy and strategic direction in the POPIA Division.
Ensure the management of complaints and the conducting of investigations of complaints in terms of the provisions of POPIA.
Ensure the management of the investigation of breaches on the instruction of the Regulator.
Ensure the provision of monitoring of compliance with and enforcement of the provisions of the Act.
Ensure the managing of the development of and compliance with codes of conduct.
Effectively and efficiently manage all resources allocated to the Division
