Commercial and Special Projects Manager
Our client is looking for a Commercial and Special Projects Manager to join their team and to development of appropriate responses and proposals to the requirements for governments as published or planned in the company business development plans.
International defence-related business (a key requirement).
Marketing, contracting and business execution in the related field.
Military electronics and particularly the ammunition systems environment (Navy, Air Force, Army (artillery/infantry)).
Proposal development and management and associated regulatory environment.
Proposal development and management – including costing within internal parameters.
Defence regulatory and control environment knowledge.
Contracting and Commercial Business management.
Knowledge of military electronics and particularly the ammunition systems environment (Navy, Air Force, Army (artillery/infantry)).
Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate at all levels, externally (MoD’s, defence forces and defence industry/establishment) and internally.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent networking skills.
Able to work with difficult clients in multi-cultural/culturally diverse markets.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Ability to identify customer needs and propose suitable solutions.

Must be willing and able to travel extensively locally as well as internationally
Role Description and Duties:
Development and writing technical and commercial proposals.
Development of contractual frameworks to execute our business in the structures both locally and internationally and for both products and intellectual property.
Local and international business development, sales and account management.
Commercial experience in related markets.
Liaison with clients on a technical and commercial basis.
Participation in the monitoring of programmes until completion.
Technical presentations on systems/products to high-level clients.
