My client in the FMCG industry is looking for a Financial Manager: Reporting to join their team in Cape Town.

The Financial Manager: Reporting will be responsible for preparation and distribution of various internal financial statements to management, maintenance of the organisation’s general ledger, and ensuring that all transactions and documentation complies with all regulations. The successful incumbent will analyse every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage daily activities for Accounting, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting and Treasury
Provide financial reports and interpret financial statements and reports while recommending further courses of action and maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy
Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts, computation and processing of monthly journal entries
Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
Review and reconcile payroll
Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset registers
Review of bank and creditors reconciliations
Calculation, preparation and submission of VAT 201 returns and employees’ tax returns
Tax and deferred tax computations
Co-ordinate and prepare the audit file for the Company's annual audit
Manage audit with the independent auditors
Support and co-ordinate audit undertakings
Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.
Co-ordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process
Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure compliance
Responsible for managing a team of people, setting and managing goals and objectives and providing a framework for these to be met.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Qualified CA or CIMA
3- 5 years Financial reporting experience preferably in the FMCG industry
