An Argentinian company specializing in agricultural microbiological products and spraying technologies is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive operations and the company strategy in South Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities
The position will involve working with the headquarters’ global cross functional teams which includes Product and technical department, Operations, Compliance, and Marketing. The successful candidate will be critical to ensure sustainable and profitable growth in South Africa. Focus will be on the existing customers, but the successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying, proposing, and developing new and sustainable business opportunities. Job responsibilities will include: Develop a profound understanding of our customer´s needs via consultative selling, recognized expertise and trust. Achieve sales, profit, and market share targets with channel partners within the territory. Design and analyze the annual sales planning of the regional market. Identify and generate new business opportunities. Convey sales and technical product knowledge to our customer. Plan marketing activities for product positioning and represent the Company at relevant events and activities in the assigned territory. Manage operational budget, selling expenses, and marketing funds. Administrative support related to country operations. Ensure that our South Africa´s operations are compliant with local laws, legislation, and regulations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
BSc, BSc Hons or MSc in agricultural related field of study. At least 5 years’ Sales and Marketing as well as commercial working experience. Fluent in English and Afrikaans, Spanish / Portuguese communication skills will be advantageous. Willing and able to travel extensively and possibly relocate. Customer and result oriented, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple and simultaneous projects/priorities. Strong communication and team working skills. Experience working in a multicultural and dynamic environment. Desirable working experience on product registration. Strong Project Management skills and able to work independently.
