Global FMCG company based in Bryanston is looking for a Product Manger -Campaign. The petential candidate will be responsible for analysing promotional campaigns monthly performance to assess whether the implemented campaigns (promotions and new products) are meeting/ have met the set company objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
The planning and successful implementation of the monthly and yearly product campaigns (promotions and new products) to meet Company objectives
Achieve the annual objectives and total profit contribution as determined by the annual Marketing Plan and overall Company strategies.
Formulate the monthly promotional campaigns (promotions and new products) in order to grow sales through themed campaigns with offers and stories that inspire consumers.
Prepare and present monthly powerpoint presentation and financial campaign pack for approval at the sign off meeting and obtain director signatures after sign off meeting, manage timelines to ensure sign off 6 months in advance of print date.
Create brochure paginations to deliver brochure platform targets and campaign/category strategies.
Plan strong brochure/campaign content based on prior year successes, ensuring energy through strategic newness focus and strong customer focused offers throughout the brochure.
Manage the distribution and signing off of the plan internally, ensuring that all financial and other standards and procedures are adhered to.
Attends Monthly Pinkie check meeting to ensure campaign is set up correctly.
Product category management
Compiles offer comparison per Campaign to ensure all unit movers and net sales movers are anniversaried from previous year in business growth and per Category
Monitor pricing of offers and advises where necessary to avoid margin loss of sales due to aggressive price increases or low pricing
Prepares all monthly and quarterly results to be presented at Quarterly Planning conferences
Monitor stock levels
Analyse Sales trends
Report deviations and corrective/adjustment plans to the Marketing Manager
Responsible for the review and assessment of promotion and contingent plans and to identify key learnings to enhance future product packages and discuss with Marketing Manager and Marketing Director
Prepare the Post Mortem and deliver presentation to business monthly.
Provide input and data as required to relevant associates in the marketing team in order enable them to provide accurate information in the following reports: Sales, Margin, Units, by category and source of sale
Assist with other reports, relevant to the role, as and when required
Coordinates excess reduction plans monthly through While Stocks Last, Mystery Packs and Drop in offers with Product team and Manager.
Participates in inventory control meetings and assists with executing plans to reduce inventory levels.
Attends Weekly Trend meeting, coordinate and send out weekly campaign newsletter communication to Sales Force.
CREATIVE BRIEFS AND BROCHURE PROOFS
Responsible for monthly creative brochure brief and to attend and participate in the creative brief and creative review.
Responsible for reviewing brochure and ensuring it meets brief objectives.
Responsible for communicating all changes from Distributor and Director feed back.
Ensure correct codes, prices and saves in the monthly brochure.
MEETINGS: PREPARATION AND PARTICIPATION
Weekly Status Update meeting with Marketing Manager
Participate and present at Annual Planning and Quarterly Planning Sessions
Quarterly Brainstorm Meetings – with sales team and then Distributor Core Group to present campaigns (themes, promotions and new products (new products supported by Product Team)
Leads Product Package pre-sign off meeting and Product Package sign off meetings
DISTRIBUTOR/SALES FORCE QUERIES
Effectively and promptly handle and resolve Distributor queries pertaining to product offers in the package.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Degree in Marketing (B.Comm) or 3-year IMM diploma
4-5 years proven track record in brand management and product/promotional campaign management in similar industry (FMCG, retailing)
Highly numerate(financial acumen) in relation to brand management and promotion management
Research and evaluation (analysis) skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Well-developed computer skills and experience (MS Word; Excel; Power Point).
Well-developed planning and organizing abilities, systematic with high level of attention to detail
