We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bursary Administrator with 3 – 5 years’ experience administering bursaries.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience of operating a student record of similar system
Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or similar
Diploma in Accounting will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Experience in Policy Formulation
Experience in higher education administrative or bursaries environment will be an added advantage.
Effective implementation and maintenance of bursary process
Capture bursary applications on spreadsheet.
Inform bursary holders about the outcome of their applications.
Provide relevant documentation to successful candidates for completion.
Update bursary database on semester and yearly basis.
Respond to bursary related enquiries from external and internal stakeholders and follow-ups.
Liaison with study institutions regarding student accounts and results.
Follow up on and administer academic progress of bursars.
Compilation, reconciliation, research and presentation of status/annual reports to donors.
Maintain student files and database, ensuring data integrity.
Management of student payments and debtors.
Assist in managing the bursary departments’ budget.
Administer student budgets and reconcile reimbursements.
