Duties & Responsibilities
To support and enable Field Services operations and achievement within the Commercial portfolio, identifying opportunities to gain competitive advantage, understanding and capitalising on trends in ICT and field services, and incorporating technology solutions to provide competitive advantage and improved margins. Responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of Commercial and logistic deliverables and for the overall management and control of resources within this business unit, to provide an efficient, profitable and a cost-effective market leading practice.
Key Deliverables / Primary Function
Provide thought leadership and embed a culture of innovation through leveraging intellectual property, research and development to support, fund and facilitate strategic innovation projects within Commercial and Logistics.
Contribute to and support the annual budget and forecasts within strategic guidelines, directing and coordinating activities to achieve revenue and cost containment targets. Implement corrective action timeously to address deviations from financial targets.
Lead the monitoring and maintenance of Commercial and Logistics in alignment with high levels of quality, standards and operability as defined within negotiated and agreed service level agreements, service level parameters or contracts.
Manage the identification and mitigation of strategic risk within Commercial and Logistics for Field Services.
Coordination of specific HR functions, including control & management of internal provident fund, medical aid scheme, head count, organograms, vacancies, cost containment and staff welfare.
Establish and foster a culture of performance excellence, employee engagement and transformation
Optimize headcount requirements to reduce cost without impacting operational delivery
Analyse factual data and provide recommendations for improvement and cost saving initiatives
Analyse impact of contractual changes on contracts and provide necessary information to management to support decision making.
Core Functional Knowledge/ Skills
Leadership, Strategic Planning; Risk Management; Financial Management; Business Development; Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking, corporate governance
8-10 years’ experience, of which 5 years is at management level, with specific relevance to the Commercial and Logistics sphere
Experience of managing resource planning/Real time/forecasting functions across multi divisions an advantage
