CHEMICAL / MANUFACTURING SECTOR
Leading manufacturer / provider of chemical solutions is looking for an Internal Sales Consultant to join their Cape Town based office to promote their products and services to clients across various sectors.
The role of the ISC is to service a base of key accounts provided by the company, and souring new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up and referrals. The ISC is required to ensure ongoing monthly sales orders on regular stock items, as well as encourage usage of complimentary products and services on offer across the product and service categories.
The ISC is also required to support the allocated Key Account Managers and/ or Agents portfolio of customers, in a timely and efficient manner, and routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate KAM for further development where required.
B.Com / Relevant Degree / Diploma
Min. 3 years’ Internal Sales Consulting experience in Chemical / Supply Chain / Logistics Sector)
Strong computer literacy and SAP exp. a must
Experience with Quotations, Invoices, POD's, Customer Service, Order taking and CRM Systems
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
Fluent in English and Afrikaans, both verbal and written
Customer Service orientated
Self-motivated with a hands-on approach and strong problem solving skills
Energetic, persistent and persuasive
Professional, ethical, willing to go the extra mile to meet business objectives
Duties / Responsibilities:
Responding to sales requests.
Manage and retain clients acquired.
Producing and acting on daily back order reports across the allocated portfolio’s
Producing daily sales reports
Producing and delivering quotations
Managing orders through to distribution
Supply Chain/Logistics & Warehouse knowledge
Managing non delivery and thorough communication through the internal customer lifecycle
Weekly forecasting of stock items required across the portfolio
New product requests and notification to management and procurement for new items requested
Weekly reporting of sales, back orders and insights to Management
Assisting with market research where required on competitors
Producing relevant formal proposal documents and presentations as required by the Key Account Manager
Use of the CRM platform and monthly reporting.
Competitive information on customers and the industry.
Delivering the agreed sales OPI’s and CPI’s.
Drive Company’s business in the market to achieve and surpass sales and business goals and objectives.
Recommend creative selling techniques based on market and product knowledge.
