Perform professional accounting work, including auditing, analyzing and verifying fiscal records and reports, preparing financial and statistical reports, and reconciling general ledger accounts; assists prepares year-end audit reports and schedules.
Duties & Responsibilities
(Duties are illustrative and not inclusive and may vary with individual assignment.)
Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts on SAP system;
In charge of the monthly closing on SAP (including accruals) and prepares monthly financial statements,
Analyzes and reconciles expenditure and revenue accounts,
Makes wire transfers and journal funding transfers and reconciles monthly bank statements.
In charge of the banking and cash related activities in accordance with the Corporate Treasury,
Monitors revenues and expenditures ensuring data is recorded in the financial accounting system. (SAP),
Manages a petty cash for local expenditures
Prepares audit schedules for external auditors and acts as a liaison between auditors.
Prepares and files annual financial statements for the Group
Assists with the preparation of the annual and mid-year budgets.
Strong level of expertise and knowledge in fiscal and taxation regulations.
Investments and Assets accounting.
Invoicing and the related reports (weekly or monthly sales reports)
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Desired Experience & Qualification
Must have bachelor’s in accounting, Finance or another related discipline.
Must have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing plant.
Experience in managing a team.
Generally accepted accounting practices and principles;
Fund or governmental accounting practices and principles;
Manage an ERP package (if possible SAP).
Auditing practices and principles;
Computer applications related to the work (Excel, Word…)
Standard office practices and procedures;
Applicable laws, codes and regulations;
Maintaining accurate financial records if possible on SAP and preparing clear and accurate reports.
Reconciling accounts, records, reports and journals;
Preparing financial and/or auditor statements, schedules and reports;
Interpreting, applying and explaining complex laws, codes, regulations and ordinances;
Managing cash position of a small company.
Reviewing and verifying accuracy of data;
Maintaining accounting records for special accounts and projects;
Making sound, independent judgments within established polices and procedures;
Organizing own work, setting priorities and meeting critical deadlines; a
Adapting quickly to new situation, coping effectively in fast paced environment.
