TOOLROOM MANAGER– Pretoria East
An Automotive component manufacturing concern is urgently looking to employ a competent Toolroom Manager for their plant in Pretoria East
Qualifications & Experience
N6 + Trade Test as Toolmaker
8 years toolmaking experience in a Metal Stamping facility
Progress Progression Tooling experience essential
CNC Machine programming
Ability to manufacture tools from designs
Good computer skills to work with CAD/CAM technology, CNC machine tools, and computerized measuring machines
Knowledge of stamping dies (progressive, blanking).
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques
Oversee daily tooling support for production; plans die repairs/preventive maintenance.
Lead team actives in meeting production objectives.
Manages the tooling budget to purchase expenditures.
Review, release, track, coordinate and close work orders.
Attend die design reviews related to engineering program changes.
Support Quality with improving and maintaining tools and dies.
Ensure tooling specifications after each pm, die repair, engineering change
Track downtime to identify projects.
Modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production & quality of products.
Responsible to maintain compliance with organizational policies, and safety standards.
Maintain tool room equipment.
Maintain safety standards of workplace.
