Duties & Responsibilities
Our client, a leading within the fruit export industry is seeking to employ an Accountant.
You will report to the Finance Manager. (Farms & Projects)
Ideal candidate must have relevant degree and min 5 years working experience in fruit or agricultural industry.
Shortlisted candidates must be driven and have great attention to detail and deadline driven.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
Bank and Cashbook, processing of Weekly Payment Batches,
Bank Recons Fixed Asset Management / Accurate processing of Fixed Asset Acquisitions
Updating and Review of Asset Registers / calculation of Asset Depreciation Inventory Management Processing of Inventory Invoices
Periodic Inventory Counts/Adjustments Employee/Staff Management
Processing payroll / recons / Complete accurate Bonus/Leave Provisions
Processing of accounting entries for Period Close / expense accounts and journals
Complete accurate GL Recons
Review accounting entries posted by Finance Clerk Statutory Submissions
Complete submission of VAT 201 & EMP201
Complete monthly income tax and deferred tax calculations/workings
Complete Submission of IRP501 Intercompany
Ensure accurate intercompany accounts with agreed balances on periodic basis
Accurate processing of all Fruit and Related Journals
Filing and Other Ad Hoc Tasks Assist Farms and Projects Team
