Our client in the Yacht Manufacturing industry is seeking a Financial Manager with Project Account experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
The financial manager will be responsible for the following:
Attending to general bookkeeping
Making entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
Posting journal entries to ledger accounts
Attending to intercompany transactions
Preparing trial balances
Performing bank reconciliations
Performing debtors & creditors reconciliations
Performing stock reconciliations
Preparing cash flow statements
Preparing financial reports – monthly management statements
Issuing invoices for money that is owed to the organisation
Filing tax returns, including VAT
Performing ad hoc tasks as requested from management
Desired Experience & Qualification
The ideal candidate will be someone who has the following qualifications, experience and characteristics:
Degree in Accounting / Finance.
Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles.
PA(SA), AGA(SA) or CIMA will be a distinct advantage.
1+ SAIPA/SAICA years’ post articles experience in a similar role.
Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office and other).
SAP Business One accounting software experience will be a distinct advantage.
Excellent understanding and knowledge of accounting principles.
Experience with managing a small team
Project accounting experience
Willing to take initiative to deliver results.
Professional communication skills.
Comfortable interacting with external clients and suppliers at senior level.
Strong Leadership qualities.
