PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING SECTOR
Dynamic pharmaceutical manufactured seeks a suitably qualified / experienced Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant with minimum of 3 years’ pharmaceutical manufacturing experience to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all production processes as regulated by the Medicines and Related Substances Act and Pharmacy Act:
Good Manufacturing Practices
Qualified Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic)
Registered with the SAPC (South African Pharmacy Council)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment
Pharmaceutical Production experience, in particular Dispensing, Manufacturing and Packing experience
Highly knowledgeable of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices
Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment.
High regard for Quality, GMP and Compliance
Intermediate to Advanced level Computer literacy
Meticulous attention to detail
Problem solving abilities
Excellent time management skills
Ability to multitask
Flexibility in approach to work schedule
Ability to lead teams and also work alone
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Willing to go the extra mile to meet with operational outcomes and work rotational shifts as per business operating hours
The successful candidate will be required to work rotational shifts
Day Shift 07h20-15h50
Evening shift 15h30-23h30
Responsibilities will include:
Ensure that the company complies with the Pharmacy Act (Act 53 of 1974) and Medicines and Related Substances Act (Act 101 of 1963)
Supervise all production processes which include Dispensing, Manufacturing, Packing.
Ensure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Verify and sign off dispensed materials and picked components and labels checking for correctness and compliance.
Open and close packing lines
Perform checks prior to commencement of Dispensing and Manufacturing operations checking for facility and equipment cleanliness.
Ensure documentation compliance during dispensing, manufacturing and packing activities.
Sign off all manufacturing and packing documents ensuring documentation compliance.
Participate with investigations of Customer complaints, cross functional investigations and deviations providing on time feedback to QA as required.
Co-operate and assist when necessary during validation procedures.
Co-operate during internal audits, self inspections or any other audit activities.
Assist in preparing facility for any internal or external audits.
Assist in implementing corrective and preventative measures to address QA and other audit findings (outcomes from internal and external audits) within agreed timelines.
Ensure appropriate practice for effective management of Safety and health factors.
Liaise with the Production Manager with regards to maintenance, improvement and availability of manufacturing and packing equipment and utensils related to production processes.
Manage the environmental cleaning program for the facility.
