A highly successful electronics company on the East Rand requires a electronically qualified person (B.Sc./B.Tech or Similar) with component level fault finding experiece and extensive electronic equipment manufacturing management experience. Must have previous experience in management of an electronic production facility and an excellent knowledge and understanding of electronic componet level fault fining and production processes. Essential functions would include assisting technicians with complex fault finding, production planning, PCB population, final product assembly, quality control, component purchasing etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
Management of the entire production facility including:
Delegate to and review the work of technical officer and production staff.
Component sourcing and purchaing.
Training and development of above staff.
Planning, scheduling, control.
Meeting production deadlines and smooth running of production line.
Direct intervention where there are problems.
Managing technicians and staff activities on a day-to-day basis.
Execution of tasks to required standards.
Work done according to agreed schedule.
Would also be responsible for managing prototype building, documentation updating, component level fault finnding and QA Testing & Calibration. Oversee and prioritise repair of production work. Feedback to M.D. on design products. (Electronics)
Desired Experience & Qualification
Electronically qualified person with a (B.Sc./B.Tech) and a strong understanding of digital and analoge circuits. A minimum of 5 years experience in an electronic production managagement role.
Package & Remuneration
A remuneration package will be negotiated relative to the qualifications and experience and what the successful candidate can bring to the table.
