Our Client is looking for a hardworking, self-motivated person, who will be able to work independently and accurately with an emphasis on detail. The candidate should have a solid technical background and experience with, or training in, Incoming Quality Control. The role is key to assisting the Company in ensuring quality products are received from our suppliers of parts and components, covering design, material and finishing specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure all necessary Quality checks are executed and documented.
Distinguish between “Accept and Reject”
Make sure all measuring equipment is well maintained and calibrated.
Follow process of inspection criteria.
Ensure correct quality parts are released.
Compare received parts will all verification criteria/samples available.
Measure all dimensions indicated on the drawings,shape,holes etc with the available verification Media “AI” “Manufacturing media in configuration”
Inspect all surfaces for any defect or abnormalities.
Report rejects immediately. Load incoming rejections to the Issue tracker.
Make sure equipment is correctly marked and calibrated.
Follow work procedures and instructions.
Updating required information in Navision during inspection process.
Reporting of what items have been inspected on a daily basis.
Dimensional Inspection of parts to Drawings and requirements stated in Purchase Orders, with results recorded on the Incoming Inspection media.
Verifying and confirming that Inter-fitting parts for a production run does fit together.
Visual Inspection of parts to Alaris external visual quality requirements.
Exposure and basic understanding of the ISO 9001/2008 quality management system.
Ensure best techniques are properly and consistently utilized for dimensional

Knowledgeable with, and able to distinguish between different types of surface treatments.
Ability to distinguish different types of materials from each other.
Ability to distinguish different types of fasteners from each other.
Willing to work overtime when required.
Must have a 3D able mind.
Have sound knowledge and experience with dimensional measurement/verification equipment. And the use there-of essential.
Ability to work under pressure with quick inspection methodology.
Working knowledge of mechanical tools and measuring equipment.
Evaluate, Inspect and approve for release, incoming materials/parts against drawing
Exercise self-reflection - able to self-correct and be flexible / adapt to change – provide high quality work
Ethical and honest
Ability to cope with and handle variable workload which can be heavy at times
Grade 12/NQF Level 6 (Electrical/Mechanical engineering)
Computer literacy - MS Word/Excel/Outlook. CAD/CAM software.
Knowledge of Navision would be an advantage.
Quality Assurance background in incoming QC experience beneficial.
Strong Knowledge of mechanical, technical environment minimum 5 years.
Previous experience on Programming Operating Setup of CNC/Manual machines in an engineering environment an advantage.
Existing working experience in Incoming Quality Control.
Package & Remuneration
R12 500.00 p/month
