Duties & Responsibilities
Main job function
The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for continually analysing and reporting on Data Protection, Cybersecurity, and Compliance topics in the countries of the company’s presence in Africa.
This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring data protection and data privacy strategy,
governance, compliance, Information Technology (IT) cybersecurity, and Operational
Technology (OT) cybersecurity.
Reporting to the Head of Africa Digital Solutions, as well as Cybersecurity Units; the Cybersecurity Specialist shall provide insight on the various facets of Cybersecurity services within Africa, thereby aligning with Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators defined by the Group’s Cybersecurity Unit.
The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing timeous delivery of Cybersecurity Audits relating to both IT and OT for businesses in Africa, thus ensuring adequate assessment of cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and threats on various network platforms within Country Headquarters, Satellite Offices, and Renewable Energy Power Plants within Africa.
The Cybersecurity Specialist will also be responsible for implementing cybersecurity related tools throughout the infrastructure in Africa. He/She will champion and
implement the strategic initiatives under the guidance of the Head of Africa Digital Solutions, as well as the Head of Data Protection, Cybersecurity, and Compliance Chapter within the company’s Global Power Generation Digital Hub.
This role is also responsible for the research, design, and implementation of all cybersecurity solutions and architecture within Africa.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Experience/Criteria
5-10 years’ experience in a Cybersecurity Specialist role, preferably with an Industrial Control Systems (ICS) or Operational Technology (OT) focus.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security, Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) certification will be considered an advantage.
Experience in an organization providing expert cybersecurity support to OT Cybersecurity environments will be considered an advantage
