General Terms: Managing Director can appoint and release the Plant Manager from the Position In his operations the Plant Manager is governed by: The Legislation of the Republic of South Africa The orders and instructions of the Managing Director - The norms and directives of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System of Company The Statute The Instructions and Rules regulating the Enterprise performance The Safety Rules and directive The Present Job description Scope of Responsibility: Arrangement, management and control of production, Maintenance and Service of the Line Equipment. Developing the proposals for efficient use of the equipment and material resources for decreasing the production and Maintenance cost and increasing the profit of the Company. Decreasing the production and Maintenance cost still maintaining the Quality and increasing the profit of the Company. Organizing the production and Maintenance process In accordance with the product specifications and set deadlines, production plan and technological line capabilities. To organize and implement the action to check the quality of the materials in production and the finished goods. To manage the works and action for improving the quality of the finished goods. Reporting the production and Maintenance key figures on daily, monthly, quarter and year basis. To prepare the reports about its conformance or non-conformance in accordance with the standards and norm Managing the production, Maintenance and Logistics personnel, supervising and evaluating performance of all personnel under your supervision. Managing the documents supporting the production and Maintenance process. Document the process in the area of his responsibility Budgeting. Developing the consumption norms for the raw materials used for the production. Finishing Goods complains handling. To upgrade the skills To represent the Company during the meetings with the suppliers Responsibilities for: Smooth running of all production line and the quality of the output Non-performance of the job as per the present Job Description and the current legislation Keeping the production area clean and safe Following the Company’s internal regulation Alleged misconducts committed in terms of the job responsibilities Readiness of emergency job Efficient use of the material and financial resources of the Company Business relations: The Plant Manager cooperates with: Company’s employees Managing Director Quality Manager Logistics Manager Finance Manager Procurement Manager HR Manager Production Manager and Shift Supervisor Maintenance Manager Skill requirements: Deep knowledge of stone wool manufacturing Process Stone wool appliance knowledge Knowledge of the basics of the document flow Knowledge of the safety and fire regulations Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment. Computer skills Excellent organizational and leaderships skills Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach. Attention to detail Qualification Requirements: Matric/ Grade 12 Experience in a Management Position. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. Experience in Insulation wool. Proven leadership and ability to drive divisional team. Computer Literate- Knowledge of Pastel system and Advance word and Excel programme will be an advantage.
