An exciting career opportunity exists in Somerset West, Cape Town for a Technical Manager within the IT industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Technical Manager provides coordination and management of operations within the technical department, which includes oversight of the technical solutions and customer care AI teams as well as efficient integrations between sales and billing departments.
Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures.
Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.
Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
Work with senior stakeholders.
Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
Support worker communication with the management team.
Managing stock control and inventory checks.
Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes.
Communicating changes in an order process to relevant parties.
Documenting procedures for third-party monitoring.
Assuring all IT activities are performed within best practises as set out by the company.
Advising customers on how best to use solutions provided
Support Sales team with solution selling into the prospective account base
Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
Creating and monitoring solutions and customer care / AI teams.
Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.
Supporting the CEO or executive team’s vision and process ideals.
Ensuring staff working on processes are happy and operating efficiently.
Supporting all functions of the business to work together.
Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
Education and Skills:
Relevant university degree in Information Technology will be advantageous
Professional IT certifications such as A+, N+, NSE 1,2,3 & 4, Zoho, Connectwise Automate, PABX (Yeastar), Mimecast and MCSE
Previous project management experience will be to your advantage.
Interpersonal skills: such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
Proven work experience operational and team management.
Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with other senior executives.
Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with other all stake holders including client exec teams.
Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner.
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in technologies offered as part of solutions designed by the company.
Excellent presentation and creativity skills.
Valid driver’s license, own transport, and willingness to travel.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management position in the IT industry.
