Provide leadership and direction to the sales team to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with the Group’s vision and values.
Manage Sales Network to ensure implementation of established plans and strategies to expand the customer base.
Develop and implement a sales strategy within all Provinces, with clear objectives, goals and actions to support the Group’s strategic thrust over the short, medium and longer terms.
Forecast sales and budgeting for agent sales force.
Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and forging connections with key industry stakeholders.
In collaboration with the General Manager: Sales Agents
Define the roles, responsibilities and measurable objectives of provincial structures and business development to deliver business goals
Ensure that there are systems, processes and procedures in place for the distribution network to operate effectively.
Manage the company’s Insurance provincial structures.
Support business growth and premium income within the distribution network.
Plan and manage capital and operational budgets for Sales Agents.
Assist in the implementation of plans and actions to improve productivity levels of all sales levels.
Oversee and maintain a worksite management plan on all sales levels.
Partner with business support services to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency and achieve business goals.
Oversee the effective and efficient management of Insurance Operations and implement business policies, procedures, operational systems and processes.
Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements on all levels.
Identify, manage and report on operational risks by implementing processes to eliminate such risks.
Set up performance targets for Provincial structures and ensure implementation and monitoring thereof.
Desired Experience & Qualification
3 Year Degree in Marketing or Business Management.
Post-Graduate qualification such as an MBA will be an added advantage.
RE1 and RE5.
10 Years marketing, sales and strategy development experience in insurance.
5 Years marketing experience on senior management level.
Extensive knowledge of
Insurance Act & legislation, compliance & governance requirements
Marketing strategies and tactics.
Marketing principles and methods involved in business and organisational planning and execution.
Resource allocation, manpower modelling and leadership techniques.
