A leading international electronics company is urgently looking to appoint a competent Key Accounts Manager for their Mobile division. Similar experience in a large Multi International Manufacturing Company is essential
Qualifications and Experience
Degree/Diploma in Sales & Marketing preferable
Minimum of 5 years for a Handset Manufacturer Selling Mobile handsets to South African Carriers: MTN, VC, Cell C, Telkom. (Essential requirement)
Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies
Market analysis knowledge and experience
Possession of a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence
Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) advanced level
Duties and Responsibility
Achieve annual business objectives, by reaching the set revenue targets, market share growth and key performance indicators within the allocated key accounts.
Establish key knowledge and understanding of Forecast, Delivery and Customer After Sales Care policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance and a sound working relationship with the management structures allocated to the above disciplines.
Attend and Participate in Monthly Business Review meeting with Exco in order to present
Create a Key Account Organogram in order to identify Business Divisions contained within allocated accounts as well as various stakeholders within the business divisions that are involved in the ranging, selling, marketing and after sales functions.
Conduct regular and ongoing meetings with stakeholders in order to meet their required service levels and support interaction required from the business partner. The level of engagement may vary per stakeholder but may not exceed an absence in engagement greater than 4 weeks.
Conduct and Continuously update Account Market Analysis Reviews, by assessing Financial Results and Reports released by the Accounts as well relevant industry bodies and market reviewers including GFK reports secured by the company
Based on Market and Account / Channel reviews; conduct ongoing SWAT Analysis in order to identify potential portfolio GAPs as well as profitable business opportunities within the allocated key accounts.
Analyze the trading environment of the allocated accounts as well as the Consumer needs of their Clientele, in order to identify strategic product and service initiatives within an allocated account that will contribute to the achievement of set business objectives.
Develop Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Customer Care Strategies that are focused on growing the revenue and business status of the company within the accounts in terms of company Mobile Devices and any other company Product Portfolio for which the account may have a possible requirement.
Develop long term Product and Services Solutions as well as Cooperative Opportunities, aimed at migrating from standard vendor to strategic business partner within accounts.
Measure Mobile performance vs. Competitors and present regular reports to management on achievements and ongoing activity levels.
Audit account performance in order to derive and implement corrective and profitable action plans.
Conduct products and services presentations across multiple management levels within key accounts.
Conduct regular Trade Visits in order to measure company Performance, In-store execution and competitor activity in order to optimize Performance and Presence at Store Level
Market share knowledge of both company and Industry Competitors as well as various allocated key accounts within markets.
Performance analysis on Win Rates as well as Sales Budget by Unit, Rand value and Product Mix
Actively manage SPMS in order to meet company Guidelines and timely execution
Provide 1 months firm forecasting and a 3 month rolling forecast on Mobile Devices and Accessories as well as Dummy Handsets and Channel Point of Sale requirements
Compile and Submit monthly Briefs to Field Marketing Agency in order to be fully informed on account sales and promotional activities as well as channel and product focus.
Attend, participate and contribute in company New Product Introduction Sessions (NPI) in order to ensure the successful introduction of new products within allocated key accounts.
Measure and report on sell-in and sell through rates.
