Import Clerk vacancy based in Wadeville for heavy engineering company
Duties & Responsibilities
Process and place all international orders for the Company
Print the re-order report for when new shipments have to be placed overseas or locally
Calculate what stock is required
Give report to Procurement Manager to check on imports
Place the order with the supplier
Check the confirmation when received from the supplier and enter the confirmation
number and expected dispatch dates and any amendments on the order.
Review the back-order list and check local orders that need to placed on the suppliers besides the monthly stock order done at the beginning of each month.
Process and place those orders
Follow up with the relevant departments regarding the back-order list.
Open a file for the shipment or place the confirmation in awaiting L/C file if an L/C has to be opened in the future.
Provide the Procurement Manager with the relevant information to enter onto the financial forecast.
Keep the shipping files updated with the invoices and additional documentation received from the suppliers
Process the clearing instruction and mark the invoices with the tariff headings – email to the clearing agent.
Receive all stock onto Kerridge, after being checked by the stores.
Make up bill of materials
Process stock adjustments
Assist with invoicing when required
Print stock valuation reports at month end for finance
Check that all IBT transfers are done – if there are issues to be followed up
Assist with stock take
Ordering of stock
Post Matric Qualification in Supply Chain (will be advantageous)
