Main purpose of the job
The incumbent will be responsible for providing service delivery and technical support for HIV/TB, at public health care facilities. The role includes providing training and on-site mentoring to Department of Health staff, clinical reviews and case management.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key performance areas
Provide care and treatment to clients in the HIV and TB programmes at primary healthcare facilities.
Provide clinical and adherence support to clients with treatment failure in the HIV and TB programmes.
Review and diagnostic support of chest radiographs of paediatric clients conducted by Mobile X-Ray team. Provide training and on-site mentoring to DOH staff.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required minimum education and training
MBChB degree or equivalent
Professional body registration
Medical Protection Society (MPS) cover
Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) registration
Required minimum work experience
Two years of relevant experience
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities
Experience/knowledge in Primary Health care/ community health HIV and AIDS
Certification in HIV
Strong counselling skills
Good organisational and administrative skills
Ability to handle a varied, busy and pressurized work load with competing demands on time
Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Proven communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel with own vehicle
