GLOBAL PROGRAM QUALITY LEADER- North of Pretoria

Our client an international automotive component manufacturing company has a position available for a Global Program Quality Leader at their plant North of Pretoria
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum education level: Master's degree in engineering (mechanics, plastic industry, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the Automotive industry. (Minimum 2 different positions, such as Plant Quality Engineer, Process Engineer.
Minimum 5 years in Program Quality position with complex program (high product diversity, several R&D centres and Manufacturing sites)
Functional analysis, FMEA, Special Characteristics, reliability, problem solving, variability reduction, etc
Familiar with Customer Development Process
Familiar with Program Management System.
Leadership and autonomy.
Must have experience in liaising with Ford
Duties
Defining and monitoring process FMEA, control plan and line documentation
Sustaining good customer relationships based on trust and transparency
Leading the development of checking fixtures and measurement control
Coordination of the reviews of product drawings and tool design
Advising design teams about factory’s manufacturing feasibility
Setting up a Statistical Process Control (scrap decreased by 20%)
Manage the quality objectives-including Safety & Regulation, Environmental-such as the PPM, scrap
Monitor the objectives achievement through a risk assessment follow up based on FMEA, KPC/KCC, capabilities, tolerance stacks, PPM, etc.
Verifies the Design Validation Plan according to the program milestones.
Check the specification for measurements, checking and testing fixtures and gauges and ensure the integration into the calibration system.
Represent plant quality during the launch of new programs and set initial Program Quality.
Assess the relevant risks and trigger alert to the appropriate management
Track all warranty claims in order to increase customer satisfaction and reduce warranty cost.
Support the Customer Relationship Engineer for the preparation of the PPAP files and the submission of the initial samples, including process validation audit and change control.
Drive customer complaints resolution and the follow up of related action plans and ensure robustness of 8D.
Responsible for quality correspondence of customer.
