Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior BI Developer on a contract basis, to assist in the design, development and implementation of our business intelligence platform using Microsoft BI Stack – SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, PowerBI and Microsoft Azure services (Data lakes, BI and Machine Learning).
Duties & Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Senior BI Developer with skill, knowledge, and experience in the following:
Experience in designing and architecting a flexible, extensible, and multi-dimension business intelligence platform / database
Responsible to transform large data sets from various business systems and consolidate it in meaningful BI models
Experience developing using T-SQL, SSIS, ETL
Experience in developing using PowerBI
Data mapping between systems
Data modelling
Interpretation of specifications received (includes data models)
Experience in mentoring and training junior BI developers and other developers
Working in an iterative development environment
Have a passion for documentation, process improvement, learning, and working in a team focused on delivery
Development of training material
Ability to deliver training to end users
Essential Criteria
5 years+ solid experience as a business intelligence developer
Degree in Computer Science / Engineering, diploma, or programming certification
Be prepared to work in a flexible yet delivery orientated environment
Be prepared to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Have a passion for data and data presentation / representation
Driver’s license and own reliable transport
Must have high-speed, reliable internet connection at home
