Duties & Responsibilities
Main Job Function
The primary purpose of institutional research is to produce business intelligence (BI) using the appropriate data collection tools in order to promote institutional effectiveness. Provides direction to planning, policy formation, and decision-making within the institution. The research activity is to collect, analyse and report on data concerning students, faculty, staff and services. All institutional research activities which provide information to support institutional planning, policy formulation, and decision making, directs and manages data collection, data analysis, and research activities relative to institutional research, and directs the compilation of data and manages the submission of required reports regarding institutions activities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Master's degree is required, a Doctorate is preferred
At least 8 years proven academic expertise and employment background in a higher education environment
Personal computer knowledge must include the ability to prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, and databases using a variety of PC programs
The ability to write concise analytical reports which are directed to specific readership is required.
Experience in institutional research is preferred
Must have very strong Research experience and very good with data/statistics. (none negotiable)
Knowledge of Higher education landscape, and deliverables in terms of key criteria.
Knowledge of student service and an appreciation of the requirements of a private educational institution
Commercially minded, inquisitive and motivated to understand students
