TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER SOUTH AFRICA
Our client has a position available for National Sales Manager for South Africa. Position would be based in Midrand. Strong technical background in Mining, Construction and Agricultural industries Essential
Qualifications & Experience
University degree in Economics or Business or related fields.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Sales Management with multiple brands and channels.
Strong technical background in Mining, Construction and Agricultural industries Essential
Knowledge of industrial distribution and business strategies
Must be computer literate
Experience in managing a team
Primary Purpose of the Position
Drive growth of OTR business in SA .
Accelerate distribution development in SA , accelerate market conversion.
Drive sales force development and specialization.
Coordination with other SA departments and cluster leaders.
Provide and ensures standardization of systems, programs, know how sharing to support OTR sales organization in SA.
Collaboration with Emerging Markets management to align with overall strategy
Regularly track the performance of Sales, GP per channel of distribution and customer and ensures Annual Operations Plan actions execution.
Provide information to team about their performance and ensure best practices sharing on a continuous basis.
Achieves, monitors distribution, fleet penetration and management and business growth through distribution optimization
Monitors fleet visit and product performance tracking
Respond to changing market conditions. Analyze market trends and competitors activities to evaluate the effectiveness of sales actions
Coordinates sales team with SA, EM and regional EMEA management - Demand Planning, business unit meetings, S&OP process, marketing, supply chain, finance and HR & Sales Ops.
Cooperates with Consumer & Commercial Sales Directors South Africa in order to ensure program harmonization and Customer Relationship Management."
Optimize forecasting of brands and sizes by customer to allow efficient production planning, SKU management and tactical pricing in line with overall pricing policy.
Achieve AOP Gross Profit and volume by brand and product groups.
Adherence and rollout of pricing policy in conjunction with EM Sales Ops & Pricing Manager.
Develop sales force to become best-in-class specialists and consultants, with focus on distributor’s sell out and fleet penetration.
