International company that renders services to the automotive, supplier development, supply chain services and manufacturing field are looking for a Sr Mechanical Engineer (Logistics) with a sincere interest in Project Management and Logistics. Mechanical engineer required to lead a team of Junior Engineers and Technologists which provides support to the operational departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
MECHANICAL ENGINEER: PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND OPTIMISATION

International company that renders services to the automotive, supplier development, supply chain services and manufacturing field are looking for a Sr Mechanical Engineer (Logistics) with a sincere interest in Project Management and Logistics.
Mechanical engineer required to provide support to the operational departments. This includes managing projects to design, implement, stabilize and continuously improve the logistical processes and systems.
Requirements:
B.Eng/B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of at least 5 years working experience of which 3 years MUST have been in a managerial role and in Optimisation or the logistic field.
Skills required
Must have solid operational and system implementation skills for the manufacturing field
Lean principles, manufacturing and supply chain solutions
Proven track record of successful Project Management
Previous leadership experience
Prior Automotive experience will be an advantage
Knowledge of logistical processes
Prior warehouse management systems experience will be an advantage
Production system application in manufacturing highly desirable
