a Mining Company is looking for a suitable person to employ in the capacity of Security Investigations Superintendent.
The purpose of the job is to manage the Protection Services Investigation response to realised and potential security and crime risks and manage securit information needs to address identified threats to the Company and provide leadership in the overall endeavours of the Protection Services Department.
The suitable person will have a Qualification in Security Management or Law Enforcement and registered with a PSIRA with experience in the Mining Security Environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Developing action plans and managing investigative resources to ensure an effective investigative response
Giving effect to the full case management principles inherent in investigative work, from initiation, investigation, prosecution, recommending remedial action and close out
Providing detailed high level investigation and information updates and reports
Planning, leading, organising and controlling direct reports as well as seconded security operations personnel, external forensic experts and co-sourced investigative business partners
Deploying specialised investigatie technology, to conduct investigations into security breaches and losses
Ensuring information driven investigation responses within the ambit of the law, to address identifiation security threats to the Company and integrity of the security endeavours
Manage the collection, collation, analysis and crime and security information with which to effect an operational or investigative response, including special projet driven investigation
Administrating the operational and governance processes pertaining to investigative responses
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualification in Security Management or Law Enforcement
Registered with PSIRA
5-10 Years experience as a Senior Investigator within the Mining Security Environment
Have a proven track record in the investigation of the various criminal threats facing the mining industry including white collar crime, precious metals, non-ferrous metals and property related causes
Demonstrate ability to lead an extensive multi-disciplinary and diverse investigative team including working with co-sourced business partners and forensic experts
