Our client who is a professional regulatory body, they are looking for a Project Director: Tax Advocacy candidate.
Duties & Responsibilities
This role is reporting to the Senior Executive: Tax and will lead the tax advocacy function. This person is responsible for the formulation and execution of the Tax policy and legislation advocacy strategy across the client's business in partnership with the Management and all other stakeholders.
They will be responsible for providing leadership within this specialized function by working with the Senior Executive: Tax; Tax Team, broader client Members and Global Alliances staff, the National Tax Committee and applicable tax sub-committees to establish short to long term solutions that will propel the client and the profession to greater heights
They will be required to effectively lead and manage the advocacy strategy delivery to optimise member and stakeholder engagement and tracking of key initiatives that will enhance engagement of the client members and stakeholders. This includes public engagements with the media and other stakeholders
Relevant Master’s degree(MComm- TAxation)
Tax specific post graduate qualification
Minimum 7-10 years’ post qualification experience
Minimum 4 years’ managerial experience
Tax legislation and policy analysis & commentary
Tax Technical opinion writing
Conflict management and dispute resolution
Public speaking and media engagement
Executive level stakeholder engagement
Engaging within parliamentary legislative environment advantageous
