Our client, an International Automotive component manufacturing operation urgently needs to appoint an experienced Production Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary Qualification in Production Management or Mechanical / Industrial Engineering /
2 -5 years’ experience in Automotive quality, and Tool and Jig Manufacturing
Sound knowledge of Quality Standards ISO / TS 16949, Q1, VDA 6.1
5 year Management experience required
8 years Assembly experience in the Automotive Manufacturing industry
Monitoring staff to ensure the production processes and products are done correctly and daily target is met, making sure staff adheres to the standard operating procedures set, quality and Health and Safety and housekeeping procedures.
Lean manufacturing implementation development and training of staff on standard operating procedures, implementing 5s, kanbans to reduce overproduction and bottleneck implementation of waste elimination techniques to reduce costs.
Implementing and monitoring continuous improvement activities includes process re-engineering, improvements on performance, introducing just in time methods.
Leading the team to meet targets.
Developing standard Operating Procedures and training operators to ensure competency and consistency in performing tasks and that quality of output guaranteed.
Reduce operation cost by means of minimizing labour cost.
