Our client is now recruiting for the position of Senior UX (User Experience) Researcher, a senior level contract position based in Johannesburg North. The purpose of the position will be to conduct User Experience research for the digital and marketing team, in support of the development of financial services systems and interfaces. This will include designing studies to understand user behaviour and attitudes, planning and co-ordinating usability testing, documenting and reporting on insights pertaining to digital habits and behaviours, and many other related functions.
Experience in a Financial Services environment is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities
Conducting User Experience research
Designing studies addressing user behaviour and attitudes
Using a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods
Recruiting participants and running user testing studies
Generating insights for stakeholders
Researching the latest visual design, UI and interaction concepts
Researching digital best practices and online trends
Providing recommendations for improvement
Conducting best practice research
Researching markets, customers and potential customers
Generating profiles for the creation of empathy maps and personas
Working cross-functionally with UX Designers and Product Managers
Advising the team on research opportunities
Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
Monitoring statistics and analytics, etc.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Degree in Psychology/Sociology/Anthropology or related (BComm also welcome)
At least 5 to 8 years experience in a Design Research role
Postgraduate qualifications and a Usability Analyst Certification
Extensive exposure to ethnography, human computer interaction, behavioural studies, etc.
