Our valued client in the automotive industry is seeking to employ a Financial Manager to join their skilled and hard working team. Based in East London. The company comprises seven business units that supply products directly and indirectly to the South African OEMs [Original Equipment Manufacturers]. The Automotive division is now one of South Africa’s largest automotive component manufacturers.
To manage the Financial and Administrative functions for the Business Unit in line with Divisional objectives.
Requirements for Applicants
Minimum 5 years in a similar role
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
Participate in organisational strategy management from a financial management perspective.
Compile and update the risk register
Perform Statutory and Public officer and company secretarial duties for legal entities.
Prepare operational budgets
Prepare financial reports and returns (Monthly BU/Plant Financial Pack)
Review the automotive Division Flash results and actionvariances
Analyse the divisional Capex reports and review the BU/Plant CapexReports
Review Weekly Salesreports
Compile with IFRS
Review Balance Sheet Accountreconciliations
Review and authorise journalentries
Prepareandplanyear-end statutory audits(external and internal)inline with the consolidated audit plan
Prepare and review year-end reporting Accounting and Tax Packs
Draft financial statements (Income Statements and Balance sheets) for legal entities
Prepare and update Corp tax schedules
Manage banking systems (users, passwords, profiles etc.)
Approve all new creditors (local and foreign)
Release weekly bank transfers (creditors and wages)
Source financing to meet budgeted cash-flow requirements
Manage cash flow and working capital
Manage forex risk
Make recommendations for the financial recovery on distressed parts
Review and authorise creditors payments
Manage credit risk (insure Debtors Book,etc.)
Review tooling account
Analyse and interpret finance reports and statistical data
Prepare financial reports and returns
