An exciting career opportunity exists in Somerset West, Cape Town for a Network Team Lead within the IT industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Purpose of the Job:
The primary purpose of the Network Team Lead is the efficient installation and implementation of all network hardware/cabling requirements as set out by the solutions proposal. This includes certain components of the CCTV and Phone Solutions, as well as the Power Solution.
Furthermore, the Network Team Lead will be required to complete all planned work accurately and according to best practise, ensuring deadlines are always met . The network team lead will also be responsible for the efficiency and accuracy of solutions implemented by the network team with the focus on deadlines and company best practices.
Lastly , the network engineer is to attend to all escalations as indicated by Customer Care and Ai team members. Typical scenarios can include,
Faulty network point.
Testing and validation of faulty CCTV cameras, Wireless APs and power solution components.
Key Performance Areas:
General Operational Duties
Communication and Monitoring
Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Escalate network issues that cannot be completed within agreed solutions deadline.
Maintain specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals.
Enter all work within job cards
Responsible for onsite installation of solutions as specified under the solution proposal document
Responsible for resolving escalations from technical team
Ensure company standard is always applied and maintained.
Support Customer Care and Sales team with solution selling into prospective account base
Education and Skills:
Interpersonal skills: such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
Proven work experience in solutions implementation
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in solutions offered by the company
“Empathy” – understand client frustrations and immediate requirements.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
2-3 years’ experience working in an IT infrastructure and hardware environment with the primary focus on implementation of new hardware and cabling solutions.
Experience in team management and guidance
