SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER (Automotive Component Manufacturing)- North of Pretoria
Negotiable
Automotive Component Manufacturing concern in North of Pretoria is looking to employ a Quality Engineer.
Proven track record in the Automotive Component Manufacturing Industry is essential
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering / Quality Sciences / TQM
5 years extensive experience in automotive industry.
Excellent computer literacy in MS Excel / Word and PowerPoint
Excellent knowledge of quality principles, APQP and SPC
Excellent understanding of ISO TS 16949 as well as and Core Tools
Proven QMS and Process Auditing Skills and qualifications
Duties
Monitor, measure, analyse and timely reporting of Key Performance Indicators achieve set objectives for all Key Performance Areas
Ensure that the KPI overview sheet accurately reflects performance with documented details for underachievement.
Customer Complaints
Implement and ensure immediate end effective containment actions.
Ensure active participation in multi-disciplinary problem solving techniques such as 8D or DMAIC to establish root cause and prevent reoccurrence.
Prepare responses to customer queries without delay.
Obtain, monitor and evaluate customer- & internal PPM results.
Measure, monitor and minimise the turnaround time for corrective actions
Analyse and evaluate defect reports for third party reviews for blocked material at overseas (or local) customer plants.
Arrange sample return shipments, adjudicate and analyse samples upon receipt.
Ensure that FMEA’s reflect the related failure mode(s) and that appropriate actions are taken to reduce the risk.
Review, improve and update process documentation periodically, including procedures, work instructions and forms.
Assist in training of new personnel on both the QMS.
Conduct system-, ISO/TS 16949 (IATF 16949) and VDA 6.3 process audits.
Assist in resolving nonconformities. Follow up and verify effective close out.
Review customer specific requirements and ensure process documentation is updated.
Monitor and manage APQP deliverables in conjunction with the project leader.
Ensure timely ISIR Submission for relevant projects.
Establish / review pre-launch Control Plans and FMEA.
Monitor QA deliverables including project deadlines.
Review and maintain Process Control Plans and FMEA’s.
Arrange and schedule multi-disciplinary retain sample evaluation.
