Our client based in Vereeniging is looking for a Supply Chain Clerk to assist the Procurement Manager & the Order Desk Manager with all aspects of successfully managing their departments, including the processing of all demands into order entries on Excel/ERP system and maintaining the paperwork and follow-up related to each order individually.
Duties & Responsibilities
A post matric qualification preferable.
A high level of computer skills essential: Excel – (minimum intermediate) plus experience on any ERP system
Ability to analyze and effectively communicate both orally and in writing with staff, to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional and safe manner.
Ability to work in a team atmosphere
Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
Strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Placing purchase orders on suppliers using Excel or ERP system.
Scan and mail order to suppliers, log order on excel spreadsheet for progress monitoring
Follow up for acknowledgement of orders and delivery dates from suppliers
Log acknowledgements on register, change delivery dates if required and update excel spreadsheet
Call suppliers to follow up on status of orders
Capture new customer demands on Excel/ERP system
Capture BOM’s against these customer demands
Follow up with Production Planners on status of customer orders.
Any other administrative tasks within the departments.
