Our client in the courier industry is looking for a Senior Strategic Sales Specialist to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be someone who has at least 10 years sales experience within the courier industry or similar. This requires a senior specialist who has experience in strategic sales.
Duties & Responsibilities
Successful and proven track record of performance in a logistics environment
Experience in account management within Logistics and Freight sector
Ability to negotiate partner agreements at a senior management level
Talent to promote positive customer relations and quickly build rapport with the customers
Capability to deal with multiple priorities and short timelines from time to time
Problem solving ability and demonstrated examples of innovative solutions
Passion for motivating individuals, creative thinking, and achievement of outcomes
Evidenced business acumen, commercial awareness
Excellent personal presentation and strong written and verbal communication skills
A great attitude and the desire to make a difference
Must be dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and results driven
Partner with the customer to develop and grow their business
Initiating Continuous Improvements for the customer to achieve that competitive edge
Understanding what our customer needs and expects from us and working with them for their success
Ensure profitable growth
Support all key account functions; complaint, claim handling, problem solving & other contractually agreed services
Drive employee engagement initiatives through your ability to lead.
Hunting and developing new leads, identifying prospects, and building relationships.
Presenting and requirement-gathering - capable of demonstrating product fit, removing objections, sharing knowledge and influencing for a positive outcome.
Building and managing a pipeline of qualified opportunities, forecast outcomes accurately and pivot activity accordingly.
Negotiating - you are comfortable talking price and relating perceived 'cost’ to our value proposition and closing with minimum 'friction’
Great storytelling, capable of composing engaging content with an understanding of what is relevant to a given audience (and why)
Excellent time-management, able to prioritize key tasks, and manage multiple conversations
