Explore and develop new business development initiatives or opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Relationship Management - existing clients and internal business divisions
Build and maintain key customer relationships in the banking, insurance and/or retail industries (clients who need information relationg to credit history and other related trends).
Conclude agreements with the client
Concludinde service level agreements with the client
Establish strategic client meetings
Budgeting with the intent of achieving additional revenues from the existing client base
Monthly and quarterly meetings with clients to convert opportunities for additional business from existing client base
Engagement and input with and to internal business divisions on client requirements, collection strategies
At both an operational and management level with decision makers and influencing stakeholders.
Overseeing and leading the contractual process to conclusion.
Overseeing and leading the necessary/required process to conclusion, within an acceptable time frame.
Arranging and scheduling meeting with the various stakeholders.
Understand the strategy, needs, and pain points of the client and convert these into wins and revenue.
Manage performance and expand the existing mandates in volume and value
Manage and influence internal units to drive performance and enhance relationships
Providing input to the Executive with preparation for new business strategies
Ensure that the relevant information is available that can influence strategy.
Reporting (Internal & External)
Facilitating the generation of standard and ad hoc reports (daily, weekly, monthly etc.)
Analysing trends to ascertain capacity for future months
Input for all reports scheduled and on request at an acceptable level, including EXCO and situational analysis.
Evaluating and implementing corrective action.
Performance Management of staff.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business or a related field
8 - 10 years’ experience in a Key Account Management environment
Experience in Collections /Debt recovery / Credit Industry advantageous
Technical skills required:
Collections industry related experience
Knowledge and understanding of the:
-National Credit Act
-Debit Collector Act
Working knowledge of:
-Cheetah ASC and MBD versions
-Query Resolution System
-MS office (Excel)
