Duties & Responsibilities
Key Performance Indicators:
Take an authoritative, pro-active approach in dealing with external vendors and service providers.
Manage and balance the expectations of the business within the framework of staff and resource limitations.
Provide leadership to the ICT Groups ensuring that an appropriate support framework is in place for them to be able to meet their respective objectives.
Work closely with decision makers in other Divisions to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost effective technology solutions.
Develop policies, procedures and best practices to ensure the integrity and security of all information and communication systems.
Develop and implement internal management systems, policies and procedures aimed at controlling costs and improving performance.
Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
Ensure that back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans are developed, implemented, tested and maintained.
Investigate, develop and implement ICT governance policies that comply with relevant legal requirements and best practices.
Ensure effective oversight of the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
Manage ICT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
Develop annual ICT budget plan and provide budget oversight
Min: Master’s Degree in (Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field)
IITIL and COBIT
Job Knowledge and Experience
Must have at least 15 years working experience in an ICT related field, 10 of which must be in a senior ICT position leading ICT staff.
Must have extensive knowledge of ICT governance principles, and experience in implementing and managing ICT governance processes.
Must have a well-developed understanding of all the ICT functions and how they interact, including ICT hardware, software, ICT security, and user support.
