Job Description:
Our client is now recruiting for the position of FMCG Credit Controller. The purpose of this position will be to ensure the achievement of FMCG customer collection targets, to manage overdue accounts, to reduce the company's risk and to manage losses. This will include many functions such as administering invoices and PODs, receiving remittances from customers, processing discounts and rebates, clearing allocated cash in the GL, preparing stock journals and running statements, among many other functions. Exposure to SAP and large FMCG wholesale accounts essential.
Experience working on the Shield and Pick n Pay accounts essential.

Duties & Responsibilities
Working on large FMCG accounts, specifically Shoprite
Receiving remittance advices from customers and allocating correctly
Processing all discounts and rebates for release before month and close
Clearing all allocated cash in the General Ledger
Prepare stock tolerance journals and matching journals on SAP
Preparing GL accounts for authorisation
Running statements on SAP
Ensuring credit limits are adhered to
Liaising with customers to inform them of balances
Reporting on all 60+ day transactions
Processing stop supply instructions where non-payment has occurred
Advising customers of blocked accounts
Investigating pricing claims and reviewing deals on SAP
Obtaining authorisation for valid deals
Scheduling claims on SAP where no valid deal exists
Managing stock claims including returns, damages and shortages
Assessing if credit has been passed on qwueries
Ensuring stock claims are tracked on SAP and queries are finalised
Managing invalid claims and providing backup documents
Matric and relevant Finance Diploma or Degree
At least 3 to 5 years experience as an FMCG Credit Controller
Experience working on the Shield and Pick n Pay accounts essential.
SAP experience
