Duties & Responsibilities
INDUSTRIAL OR MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGIST : OPTIMISATION
Uitenhage
International company that renders services to the automotive, supplier development, supply chain services and manufacturing field are looking for a Mechanical or Industrial Technologist with solid Logistics and warehousing skills.
The ideal applicant will render consulting services in the Logistics field. Support operational departments. This includes managing projects to design, implement, stabilize and continuously improve the logistical processes and systems.
Requirements:
B.TECH in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of at least 5 years working experience of which 3 years MUST have been in operational and improvement of systems for the manufacturing field
Lean principles, manufacturing and supply chain solutions
Prior Automotive experience will be an advantage
Knowledge of logistical processes
Prior warehouse management systems experience will be an advantage
Production system application in manufacturing highly desirable
Responsibilities:
Process and system design and implementation
Continuously improvement of processes and systems
Team management
Workload management
Process and system failure root-cause analysis
Develop and maintain a trustworthy relationship with clients and other divisions
