Job Description:
A dynamic pharmaceutical and medical affairs organisation is seeking a Marketing Manager to provide an effective customer interface for the organisation, ensuring that customer needs are met through defining marketing strategy, marketing, selling and distributing the organisation’s products in terms of the defined marketing strategy
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Job Outputs:
Specific SHE Requirements
Pre-employment, routine and exit medicals are compulsory due to the nature of the business
Attendance to SHE related training is mandatory
Adherence to SHE Instructions (Waste Segregation, Water and Energy Saving Initiatives)
Compliance to SHE Site Rules is compulsory
Experience with hazardous and biologically active chemicals
Required to use proper PPE and will go through medical examinations as per OSH Act requirements
Marketing Management
Develops marketing and sales objectives in line with strategic business objectives
Reviews and approves promotional plan
Digital marketing and ensure market research is conducted
Identify and investigate marketing opportunities and incorporate them into the marketing plan
Defines and implements business processes for the marketing department
New or modified product evaluation, development and introduction
Taking advantage of marketing opportunities and product developments to ensure the
continued growth of the organisation in line with the defined business strategy
Maintains and enhances customer relations
Manage and staff development
Manages marketing budget
Sales Management
Prepares annual revenue budget
Reviews and approves sales plan
Manages tendering process
Responsible for the oversight of internal sales processes
Communicates sales trends and market environment information to Head of Business Development
Manage customer communication, product return and batch reconciliation for product recalls
Product and Market Knowledge
Keeps abreast of health issues related to competitor activities, pricing, therapeutic trends,
Keeps abreast of new products and diseases, health policy trends etc. by reading the latest literature, attending congress and lectures

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications:
Paramedical qualification e.g. nurse, pharmacist
Marketing or Sales Post Grad Qualification
Practical knowledge of full MS Office suite
Experience:
At least 5 years in pharmaceutical or medical sales as a representative
In addition to the above, at least 2 years’ proven experience in a Marketing Manager role in the pharmaceutical/medical industry
At least 3 years’ experience leading, mentoring and coaching teams specific operational requirements
